CEILINGS, BULKHEADS AND PARTITIONING

Ceilings: Do you need a ceiling installed, repaired or modified? We can install your ceilings for you from suspended ceilings, ISO board ceilings to skimmed ceilings (joint skimmed or full skimmed).

Bulkheads: A bulkhead is a section of ceiling that has been dropped and boxed-in or enclosed. Bulkheads are typically used to conceal something, however at the same time to spruce up an existing ceiling and give it a more modern look.

Partitioning: Drywall partitioning is a structure that uses a track and stud system to divide and partition areas into smaller rooms. The lightweight construction, speed of erection, low cost, fire resistance and sound ratings make this system a wisely accepted drywall system in the building industry. We can install standard partitions, fire rated partitions and sound reduction partitions to suite your needs.

SPALLING REPAIRS

Spalling concrete is concrete which has cracked and delaminated from the substrate due to corrosion of the embedded steel reinforcement within the concrete.  This corroding steel can expand up to ten times its original volume which gives off unwanted stress on the surrounding concrete. The stress on the surrounding concrete causes the concrete to crack, referred to as spalling.

Spalling occurs due to the ingress of acidic atmospheric gases, a process normally referred to as carbonation, or by the presence of salts in the concrete, typically from marine environments or from the use of de-icing salts. The combination of these contaminants with oxygen and water results in corrosion to the steel reinforcement.
